Aim of this Course

The aim of this course is to provide participants with theoretical and practical knowledge in relation to:

• Elementary First Aid (STCW A-Vl/1-3)

• Fire Prevention & Fire Fighting (STCW A-Vl/1-2)

• Personal Survival Techniques (STCW A-Vl/1-1)

• Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities (STCW A-Vl/1-4)

designed to prepare new recruits for a life at sea

an insight into the various elements of a ship and working procedures on board

make their transition from a shore to a sea career smooth and give some knowledge of ship's working before they actually step on board a ship

To reach the minimum standards of fire prevention & fire fighting;

Competent to take appropriate measures for the safety of personnel, ship & cargo;

Knowledgeable in the use of firefighting equipment.

To reach the minimum standards of elementary first aid.

Competent to take immediate action upon encountering an accident or medical emergency.

Knowledgeable in the use of first aid equipment
