Work Exposure Scheme (Summer Students)

The Work Exposure scheme is intended to facilitate transition into employment by providing jobseekers with practical experience that will help them obtain the knowledge, skills and competences required to find and secure employment, and to assist employers in finding and training potential employees. This scheme is co-financed by the European Social Fund+ 2021-2027.

Scheme Benefits

  1. Access to a diverse talent pool: Engage with students aged 17 to 24 years from higher education institutions, bringing fresh perspectives and current knowledge to your business.
  2. Structured placement duration: Offer placements lasting 200 hours over a maximum of 10 weeks, with the flexibility to accelerate completion by allowing trainees to work up to 40 hours per week, aligning with your project timelines.
  3. No-Cost Training: Trainees receive a training allowance of €7.50 per hour paid by Jobsplus, meaning zero financial cost for your business during the training period.
  4. Streamlined administration: Jobsplus manages all necessary documentation and eligibility checks, reducing your administrative workload and simplifying the placement process.

    Summer 2026 Intake for Employers
The Summer 2026 intake will officially launch on 23 March 2026 and will remain open until mid-summer.
Through your application, you can also nominate a prospective trainee if you already have a student in mind, ensuring that your preferred candidate can be considered for placement under the scheme.

    Repeat Hosting of Trainees
If you have previously hosted a trainee under the scheme, you cannot host the same trainee again. A trainee may only participate a second time with a different employer and in a different occupation.
If you are interested in hosting a trainee again during the summer months, Jobsplus can help you find a suitable candidate from its pool of registered student jobseekers, ensuring your business continues to benefit from fresh talent and perspectives.
