Scheme Benefits

The Fiscal Incentive Scheme is designed to encourage employers to hire and support employees with disability throughout their employment. It includes a comprehensive package of financial and non-financial measures, aiming to integrate individuals with disabilities into society and enable them to contribute actively to the Maltese economy.

Unlock a brighter future with our support measures: 

  • Financial Support: Offers a fiscal incentive equivalent to 25% of the person’s basic wage, up to a maximum of €4500 for each person with a disability employed. 

  • Enhancing Employment Opportunities: Increases the entry and retention of persons with disabilities in employment. 

  • Integration into Open Employment: Provides employees with disability opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities and enthusiasm, helping them become valued members of the workforce. 

Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible participants are registered persons with disabilities. The fiscal incentive is available only if the employer has not already benefited from aid through the A2E scheme. This promotes a diverse and inclusive workforce.
