As population ages, it becomes increasingly important to recognize the value that older generations can continue to offer to society. This mentoring service is designed to promote active ageing by enabling individuals of pensionable age to remain engaged in meaningful, purposeful activities - specifically by supporting the professional development of younger workers, trainees, interns or apprentices in the workforce. Retired individuals possess decades of accumulated experience, knowledge, and soft skills that are difficult to replicate through formal training alone. Allowing these individuals to serve as mentors not only affirms their value but also helps preserve institutional knowledge that might otherwise be lost. This service promotes intergenerational knowledge transfer and helps employers address skill gaps in a cost-effective and socially responsible way. It also reinforces a company’s reputation as a workplace that values diversity, inclusion, and lifelong learning.
By participating, employers not only strengthen their internal teams but also support a national initiative aimed at preserving the skills of retired professionals and promoting sustainable workforce practices.
Continue making a difference through this initiative which values the professional experience of retired individuals and help guide the next generation with confidence.
