We are seeking a reliable and skilled Shuttering and Steel Fixer to assemble and dismantle formwork and prepare steel reinforcement for construction work.

Key Responsibilities: -Read and interpret construction drawing. -Set up and dismantle temporary formwork. -Cut, shape, and assemble shuttering material. -Ensure formwork is accurate and secure. -Follow construction specifications and safety procedure.

• Competencies

  • Check conformity of manufactured pieces (evenness, perpendicular position,...) and take samples for analysis
  • Check dimensions, shapes, welds; perform finishings/ adjustments/alterations in case of alignment/deformation mistakes
  • Pour concrete in mould or prestressed concrete mould
  • Dismantle the item and disassemble the mould
  • Determine composition/mould measurements/reinforcement type/ pouring/dismantling method according to item for manufacture
  • Clean machines, equipment, moulds and tools (extrusion machine, prestressed concrete mould...)
  • Place steel reinforcing bars (rebars), armouring, inserts, recesses, in mould or prestressed concrete mould
  • Place and mark structural elements, weld and assembly spot
  • Prepare material (cables, steel cables...) and concrete for the execution of the product (prestressed concrete, concrete blocks...)
  • Assemble a formwork (in metal, wood, pvc...)
  • Set cutting and forming tools and cut or shape elements (profiles, pipes, panels...)
  • Take down measurements and dimensions on materials and perform necessary outlines
  • Finish off and trim pieces (trim corners, close sleeve holes, remove cement paste...)
  • Perform surface treatments on moulds (brush, bend, sandblast, bush hammer, trim...)
  • Set up, place and do final assembly of structure on site (truss, bedplate...)
  • Draw up orders for concrete or requirements to manufacture pieces
  • Work with materials: stainless steel
  • Assemble and fasten structural elements according to assembly plans and directions
  • Manufacture reinforcements/armouring in steel
  • Make mould (in wood, metal) and detailed drawing of structural element
  • Assemble and place concrete reinforcement
  • Calculate measurements based on different parameters (material, diameter, circumference, tools...)
