We are seeking a Steel Fixer to cut, bend, assemble and install steel reinforcement for concrete structures according to technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities: -Read and interpret engineering drawings and bar bending schedules. -Measure, cut and bend steel reinforcement bars and mesh to the required specifications. -Assemble and secure reinforcement using tie wire and appropriate tools. -Construct reinforcement cages for beams, slabs, columns and foundations. -Install spacers to ensure correct positioning and concrete coverage. -Follow construction specifications and health and safety procedures.
