We are seeking to recruit a Steel Welder & Cutter.
Core Responsibilities • Reading Blueprints: Study technical drawings, engineering specs, and blueprints to calculate dimensions and plan the work. • Metal Preparation: Clean, cut, grind, and position steel parts, removing rust, paint, or mill scale before processing. • Welding (Joining): Use intense heat sources—such as electric arcs, MIG, TIG, or stick welding—to melt and fuse steel components into single, load-bearing parts. • Cutting and Trimming: Use gas flames, plasma streams, or electric arcs to slice steel plates, beams, and pipes to exact dimensions. • Dismantling: Cut apart large metal structures like ships, aircraft, or industrial machinery. • Inspection and Quality Control: Check finished seams and cuts for cracks, warping, or weak joints using visual or stress-testing methods. • Equipment Maintenance: Clean, calibrate, and maintain torches, welding power supplies, and safety gear. Common Work Environments • Construction sites (bridges, high-rise steel buildings, pipelines) • Manufacturing and fabrication shops • Shipyards and power plants
If multiple Education and Language Profiles are defined, please note that you must fit at least one of them, but not necessarily all.
