• Competencies

  • Animal species: domestic pets
  • Assess the reason and urgency of consultation. Inform client on care of animal
  • Examine animal medically and determine the therapeutical needs (medication, surgery...)
  • Treat the animal or do an additional examination (x rays, biopsy...)
  • Treat animals in a preventive or curative way
  • Inform animal carer of treatment needed (nature/risks/price...) needed or refer to specialised service (vet clinic...)
  • Operate animal and observe after surgery
  • Collect info on animal from accompanying person/consult medical file (erratic behaviour/case history/ongoing treatment...)
