To provide intensive personal care and support to the elderly persons under their care. Together with providing companionship and emotional support while living with the elderly person/s, and all that is needed for the well being of the elderly persons.

• Competencies

  • Work with target group: elderly
  • Activities: care for the elderly
  • Draw up care plan according to patient needs. Prepare nursing material
  • Take charge of patient body hygiene, comfort care and preventive care
  • Accompany patient/person in need of care on walks or displacements
  • Maintain and clean communal parts
  • Clean and store clothes and other textiles (washing, sewing, ironing)
  • Inform client on damage to furniture and appliances and if possible make repairs
  • Do the dishes and stow them away. Tidy and clean the kitchen and sanitary facilities
  • Check health condition of patient. Observe mood swings/behaviour changes... Inform parties concerned (family, doctor...)
