Couriers will be responsible for loading, unloading and distributing various item types to different addresses, through different routes, to customers across Malta. Remarks: Full time on a contract basis with shift.
• Follow routes and time schedules
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that order is complete
• Able to work as part of the delivery team to ensure that the items are packed correctly and safely delivered to the correct client
• Complete logs and reports
• Adhere to safety regulations governing the delivery operation
• Obey traffic laws and respect pedestrians
• Test vehicle equipment in order to ensure proper and safe operation.

Competencies
- Set up route according to delivery requirements. Check documents (timetables, order form...)
- Deliver or collect parcels according to request
- Perform emergency measures in case of accident. Notify services concerned
- Load parcels, envelopes, prepared dishes on or in the vehicle
- Execute basic maintenance. Clean vehicle
- Distribute leaflets in mailboxes/on fixed distribution points to passers-by... according to instructions
- Collect catalogues, correspondence, printed matter, newspapers and sort them according to address
- Return undistributed mail to the service concerned
- Collect post in internal departments, companies, mailboxes. Send out post
- Control distribution (coverage of area, position of distributors, determination of target group...)
