1 Gainfully Occupied Population Statistics This information is based on Jobsplus' administrative data. It includes information on the full-time and part-time employment classified by economic activity.
2 Registered Unemployed Statistics This information is based on data compiled through Jobsplus' administrative sources. It contains information on persons registered as unemployed with Jobsplus. Data is categorised by age, gender and duration of unemployment spell.
3 Labour Force Survey This information is based on surveys conducted on a quarterly basis by the National Statistics Office. It contains information on all persons who fulfil the requirements for inclusion among the employed or the unemployed, i.e. excluding economically inactive persons such as pre-school children, school children, students and pensioners.
4 Labour Cost Survey The Labour Cost Survey is an enterprise-based survey carried out once every four years under EC Regulation No. 1737/2005 and implementing Council Regulation No. 530/1999. The aim of the Survey is to obtain information on the costs borne by employers in order to employ staff. The Labour Cost Survey 2012 covers all economic activities employing 10 or more persons, except agriculture, forestry and fishing (NACE A) and public administration and defence; compulsory social security (NACE O).
5 Accidents at Work This information is based on surveys conducted on a quarterly basis by the National Statistics Office. This information covers events in the course of work which lead to physical or mental harm. This includes cases of road traffic accidents while working but excludes accidents during the journey between home and the workplace.
6 Fatalities at Work This information is based on data pertaining to fatal accidents at work according to the Occupational Health and Safety Authority (OHSA). Information presented in this news release provides an overview of fatalities at work between 2007 and 2014.
7 Other Releases related to Labour Market Statistics This information is based on surveys conducted from time to time by the National Statistics Office on specific areas related to the Maltese Labour Market. This includes information such as Transitions from Work to Retirement.
