Additional notes relating to the refund process
An Application Reference (e.g. TPS 1000) is required to start the claim refund process. This can be retrieved from the Acceptance email issued by Jobsplus following successful evaluation of your application. If you are unable to retrieve your Application Reference, please forward your request by email on tps.jobsplus@gov.mt or call 2220 1610.
Reasonable care shall be taken by Jobsplus to ensure that the payment process is not unduly delayed. The Corporation shall not be held responsible for delay or loss due to reasons beyond its control. It is the responsibility of the individual to ensure that claims for reimbursement together with relevant documentation are submitted by not later than four months from the end date of training.
Notwithstanding the above, all claims for reimbursement together with complete supporting documentation must be submitted by not later than 31st October 2023. Claims for reimbursement that are submitted beyond this date will not be accepted.
Please be reminded that the refund can only be issued if the training is successfully completed and leads to a Certificate of Achievement (certificates of attendance are not accepted).
The proof of payment for the training provided should be in the participant’s name. If at reimbursement stage, it transpires that the training was paid by the employer, your application will be withdrawn. Moreover if at reimbursement stage it transpires that the applicant’s primary employment status has changed, the request for reimbursement will be considered as not eligible.
Jobsplus reserves the right to seek additional documentation prior to processing any claims for reimbursement.
If following receipt of funds, it transpires that any applicant has benefited from other schemes and/or projects for the same training programme, Jobsplus reserves the right to seek refund of the funds received under the Training Pays Scheme.
Changes to scheme’s eligibility criteria entered into effect on 02/01/2023
